Treva Brandon Scharf is a Beverly Hills based writer, fitness professional, and dating expert.

Treva’s career started in advertising at BBDO New York. She has since branched out into blogging, dating coaching, and motivational speaking.

Her fitness background spans over 30 years as a competitive athlete, group fitness instructor, and personal trainer.

When Treva isn’t creating original content, or writing dating advice columns, she’s up at 6am, either teaching fitness classes or training clients. Treva is also a Fulfillment Fund mentor and Special Olympics coach, and is passionate about politics, policy and people of all ages and abilities.

After navigating the singles world her entire adult life, Treva finally got married at age 50 in May 2014. When it comes to blind dates, boyfriends, breakups, Treva has triumphed through it all. She is an authority on being single and finding love later in life.

She has been published on the Huffington Post, BetterAfter50, Older-DatingUK, MidlifeBoulevard, AARP, CurvesConnect, and L.A. Progressive, among others.

Treva created The Late Blooming Bride to document her journey from single life to first-time wife, with all the tough love and hard knocks she gained along the way.

  2. I can certainly relate! Although I have four kids – two in their mid to late 20s and two in their teens – I have never been married. Much to the little girl in me’s disappointment. You never know though, right? PS. Just discovered your blog, thanks to Midlife Boulevard’s FB group, and so glad I did!

    • And I wish I had kids, so there you go. The grass is always greener, right? Just be happy as you can with who you and what you have, because it’s more than you think. Glad you found me, Mona, glad to know I have a kindred spirit out there.
